Inspired by the Gender Bent Justice Leaguecosplayers at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, artist Yasmin Liang decided to create a comic book-style illustration of the gender-flipped superheroes.
Liang is currently a student at the Parsons New School for Design and has more fabulous art — superheroic and otherwise — on her website.

What I love the most is how the costumes, when swapped, aren’t completely skewed to fit the typical Superheroine ideal. I hate when you see fan art of genderswaps where, apparently, the female version means removing leg coverings (unless they’re thigh-high boots), most chest coverings, no non-jewellery arm coverings, adding high heels and some precarious-looking stitching to hold what’s left together. These heroines (and the heros) look BAD ASS and in charge. There’s nothing wrong with showing skin, wearing heels or thigh-high boots, but it’s nice to see artists who don’t think that 90% of female heroines’ powers are as eye candy for men.](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxujnmTvSX1qc9y8qo1_1280.jpg)
